This is an article on a non notable primary school, whilst I understand and support the convention that secondary schools warrant articles I do not believe that the same applies to primaries unless notable in their own right. Paste Let’s have a chat. 20:29, 28 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Other non-notable primaries in Edinburgh are listed, please see Leith Primary School Tollcross Primary School and Stenhouse Primary School as examples. Also, as a general point, I object to the presumption that secondary education is somehow more important than primary.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Mebanana (talk • contribs) 20:37, 28 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete or Redirect and get those other "non-notable primaries in Edinburgh," too. This is not a conspiracy intended to denigrate the value of primary education, by the way, but related to the fact that there are 9 gazillion primary schools on the planet and only 1 gazillion secondary schools. And those 1 gazillion secondary schools are the institutions which will be linked from properly written, fully documented biographies. Lines have to be drawn somewhere and that's a pretty comfortable place to do it. Carrite (talk) 15:35, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- This AfD nomination was incomplete (missing step 3). It is listed now. DumbBOT (talk) 15:02, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete per WP:SCH. Although this proposal was not formally adopted it seems a reasonable guideline. --Deskford (talk) 22:23, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- I note that Category:Primary schools in Scotland contains 42 entries, plus sub-categories. Should these articles all be deleted? Probably yes. --Deskford (talk) 23:49, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete. School is not notable in its own right, in my opinion. I'd also agree with the notion to delete those other non-notable primaries. Coasterlover1994Leave your mark! 22:39, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Merge to either Royal Mile#Canongate or The Canongate. This primary school does better than most for third-party media coverage (probably because of its famous location), including a few mentions in the national press, but all the articles I found were about something else that mentioned the school. As such, I think a merge is a fair compromise. Chris Neville-Smith (talk) 07:18, 6 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Merge into The Canongate. No evidence of genuine notability. Ben MacDui 15:30, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
